WHAT TO SEE DURING NUSA PENIDA DIVING?
Nusa Penida is the only region in Bali where you can regularly see Manta Rays all year round and Oceanic Sunfish (Mola) – mainly between July and October. Penida is also home to over 500 species of reef fish, corals, and pelagic creatures including: white tip reef sharks, eagle rays and blue-spotted stingrays, lion-fish, octopus, moray eels, scorpion-fish, soft corals, clown-fish, butterfly-fish, barracuda, trevally, snappers, sea turtles, puffer-fish.

When to dive in Nusa Penida
BEST TIME OF YEAR TO DIVE NUSA PENIDA:
Diving around Nusa Penida is fantastic all year round. During the rainy season the rains primarily happen in the late afternoon and evening, making diving very feasible, and sites are less busy. The ocean temperature during this time is warm and comfortable.
The marine life is consistently spectacular. During the peak season between June - November the water is much cooler, crisp and visibility is fantastic.
During this time you will have a high chance of seeing a Mola/Oceanic Sunfish/Moon-fish. Our local manta population is here for 11 of 12 months of the year and the reefs are healthy and colorful 365 days of the year.

Nusa Penida Diving Itineraries:

06.30 we pick you up from your hotel (Sanur, Kuta, Seminyak & Legian areas) around

7.30-8.00AM to arrive at the boat departure area in Sanur Harbor

8.15AM. the boat will depart form Sanur Harbor to Nusa Penida

9.00 AM arrive at Diving Stop

Choices of 2 or 3 Dives

3-dive day: we do two dives before having lunch on the boat, and then a third dive before returning to Sanur.

2-dive day: we normally have lunch after the first dive and enjoy some sunbathing before jumping back in for the second dive.

Please note: We always plan for one of the dives to be at a manta site (Manta Point or Manta Bay) however this is not always possible due to sea conditions.
Relax and meet your guides while the staff load your equipment onto the boat, then we head off on the 30 minute boat ride to the first dive site.

2.45 PM Return To Sanur Harbor, You’ll arrive back in Sanur around 3.30-4.30pm when we’ll transfer you back to your hotel / resort for a relaxing drink!
